Ah, and of course the original looks the best. There are the usual Photoshop CS2 touchings to this one, such as cropping. I really like how this turned out, overall; even though there are things that couldn't be fixed. Comments This is beautiful!

Seriously, I can find nothing wrong with this. This is simply amazing. It looks real. I would buy this if I could. o_O -- Pshaw! I shake mah fish at you!  ------ Icon by Stormysprite! yeah lol. Actually I asked for a critique for the cat back in my gallery (the same cat hahah) but I'm not surprised there's no crit, it didn't notify anyone or anything. XD

This one could be a black-white photo ^^ The fur looks very realistic, beceause you really concentrated on almost every hair. Well done!  Critique? Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Just got home from friend's house that happens to hold an incredibly cute cat, so I'm still in "Kitty!" mode.

Critiques
That one open eye is just so piercing and beautiful. The shape of it... it's just lovely and conveys alot of personality.
The markings were done well, too. I find that creating a fur-like texture, while maintaining patterns can be overwhelming and often very hard. You've done an awesome job.
Great use of value. Each strand of hair (including the fine little whiskers) are easily seen, thanks to your attention to detail.
Really, my only critique is that towards the bottom left corner, the fur begins to look a little grainy. (I'm not sure if quality was lost in scanning or not). I think, though, that this would be fairly easy to fix, and it isn't that big of a deal in comparison to the bigger picture.
In the end, you were able to capture a beautiful, candid moment, while maintaining a feel for personality. This picture is alive!
